Prayer
on the Promises
Thank
You, Father, for giving unto me exceeding great and precious promises: that
by these I might be a partaker of Your divine nature, escaping the corruption
that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:4) I recognize that Your promises
are the foundation of Your new and better covenant (Hebrews 8:6) and that
Your attitude toward fulfilling Your promises is always "Yes, of course!"
and "So be it!" and even "Let 'em rip!" (2 Corinthians
1:20)
I choose
to not be slothful, but to follow them who, through faith and patience,
inherit the promises. (Hebrews 6:12) I recognize my need for patience and
bold speaking in receiving from You the things You have promised. (Hebrews
6:15, 10:35-36) I judge You to be faithful in all Your promises. (Hebrews
11:11) Through faith I will seek to receive the promises Your Spirit shows
me in Your Word. (Hebrews 11:33, Romans 4:20)
Thank
You, Father, for the promise of Your Spirit given on the day of Pentecost.
(Acts 2:18,33) Thank You for enduing me with Your power from on high by
Your Spirit. (Luke 24:49) Thank Your for Your great plan to show the exceeding
riches of Your grace in Your kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Ephesians
2:7) In Jesus' name I pray, Amen. |
